I have to share the weekend adventure we had at a U-pick Muscadine Vineyard in DeLeon Springs, Florida. It was like a little slice of California in the heart of Central Florida (minus the wine - add a honey muscadine popsicle).

I feel the need to start this off saying I am very novice to gardening. This is only my second year with raised garden beds and growing vegetables. My gardening style swings between growing some of the easiest food and flower plants to attempting to grow things that are extremely finicky and do not like our growing zone. Living in Florida’s zone 9b has been tough on my lack of experience..

Read MoreThis post may be a little premature but I am just too excited to share my film scans from Paris that landed in my inbox from The Find Lab! Seriously, better than Christmas! Not to mention, great encouragement that my camera focuses correctly and I didn't botch any of the film. For this set of film I shot all of my landscape and scenery images on my 35 mm Canon 1V with Fuji 400 film, gahhh so much better than I ever could have imagined they would turn out! There is just so much to love with this camera, I am so happy I stumbled upon it, I love that I can use my L series canon glass on this camera too. The second part of this post was shot with a medium format Contax 645 and Fuji 400 film.
Read MoreI'm going to be honest, this has been one long post in the making.. Who knew a journey to play with film photography could have so many ups, downs and twists?! I guess the best place to begin is the beginning. A few years ago my Father-in-Law gave me an old 70's 35mm Pentax to play with! It was magical. I adored every time that shutter would open and shut and those little whirs and clicks at the end of roll. There was something so classic and beautiful about capturing moments on film. To say the least, I was hooked!
Read MoreIn case you are new around here let me fill you in on a wedding vendor obsession called Tieks. Tieks are the most adorable ballet flats with a telling turquoise bottom. I did a bunch of research, aka, read a few blogs, and felt that these shoes were going to be it for me. My wedding day feet savior, if you will. The lines of "walking on air" and "most comfortable flats" sang sweet songs to my ears, especially, after a 10 hour wedding day! Sadly, I don't think I have the same praises to sing. As much as I wanted to love these ballet flats I have to be honest and say that it took SIX MONTHS to break them in!.
Read MoreThis weekend my son and I baked a thing, a strawberry tart per his request. Cooking with a four year old definitely requires a release of control and few deep breaths but every day I am amazed by this little human. He loves to cook and bake with his momma, can crack eggs like no kid I have seen and can't help but lick every spoon.. I enjoy teaching him all the secrets I have learned along the way, reading "recipe" books at bedtime, and sharing special moments with a flour sifter...
Read MoreAnita and John's wedding in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico was absolutely magical! Choosing my favorites is always a difficult feat but this wedding takes the cake for moments that truly were full of meaning. Their sweet hand-written vows still swirl in my head as John promised to love Anita no matter what and Anita promised to never change. The beach side affair had the most gorgeous backdrop full of sunset colors and rocky sea mountains in the Pacific Ocean. Take a peek for yourself!
Read MoreI cannot believe it has been a few days over a year since we have brought Sebastian into our lives! The best thing we ever did was rescue this pup from The Dog Liberator, a rescue that specializes in rescuing herding breed dogs but loves all pups and takes as many as they can. Seeing how Sebastian has developed into a "real dog" is amazing! The story of this pup is full of unknowns and had a rocky start, especially with a four month baby and three year old in the mix.

And Ted Talks but I'm still working on Podcasts so I'll have to truly dive into the latter at a later time. I am so out of the loop when it comes to cool, trendy things it's ridiculous. I mean free information about anything at your fingertips and you can download and listen in your car all the time!
