Coffee Talk | Raising Fletcher
Ya'll, how is it already October!? With little Millie's due date fast approaching it only seems fitting to write a post dedicated to my little man, Fletcher. There are so many wonderful attributes that little boys carry that just make their mommas bream with pride! Fletch has also taught me a good amount of boyish fun in the past two and half years and brought to light that boys are just the best!
Some of the joys we have shared along the way include learning how to smack a wolf spider out of a hand with finesse. I now obtain the motherly ability to name every type of truck, tractor and excavator that man has made. Food does not go far. Getting stung in the face by 3 wasps can happen to a two year old. Hugs are meant to be "big, big" and knock you off your feet. "I go fast fast" is normally followed with an "I'm okay." Still hungry. Mud and dirt come out of clothes easier than I ever imagined. Don't spend money on clothes or shoes, they don't last long. Feed me. A profound love of books and a good 10 book line-up is the best way to be sent to bed. Lastly, that night time prayers melt my maternal heart.
Fletcher's number one obsession would have to be the hose! He loves to water flowers, clean G-Papa's car and make mud. Mostly, this little man has stolen my heart and I am thrilled that he will soon have a little sister to watch over and be the best big brother ever!
