Mung Bean | Gut Cleansing Detox
I am an advocate for do what is right for you. Do you makes your body feel good and what is good for your body. I like to do a 3-5 day Mung Bean Detox once a month. Mung Beans are an easily digestible food that is full of iron and filling. So while detoxing the body you are still receiving nutrients and being good to it. I have tried other detoxes and fasts and always fail miserably, either giving up because of headaches or cravings but these little green beans, quinoa and curry type spices make detoxing easy. Ideally you would only eat as much mung beans and quinoa as your heart desires for your detoxing period but I am a little more relaxed.
The point being I am still getting a detox from things that my body doesn't need, like added sugars, alcohol and dairy, while still having a little more than just mung beans and quinoa.
