Focusing Issues with Film Cameras

This post may be a little premature but I am just too excited to share my film scans from Paris that landed in my inbox from The Find Lab!  Seriously, better than Christmas!  Not to mention, great encouragement that my camera focuses correctly and I didn't botch any of the film.  For this set of film I shot all of my landscape and scenery images on my 35 mm Canon 1V with Fuji 400 film, gahhh so much better than I ever could have imagined they would turn out!  There is just so much to love with this camera, I am so happy I stumbled upon it,  I love that I can use my L series canon glass on this camera too. The second part of this post was shot with a medium format Contax 645 and Fuji 400 film.

Starting Out with Film Photography

I'm going to be honest, this has been one long post in the making..  Who knew a journey to play with film photography could have so many ups, downs and twists?!  I guess the best place to begin is the beginning.  A few years ago my Father-in-Law gave me an old 70's 35mm Pentax to play with!  It was magical.  I adored every time that shutter would open and shut and those little whirs and clicks at the end of roll.  There was something so classic and beautiful about capturing moments on film.  To say the least, I was hooked!
